1)  Ranger Industries BIG and Juicy "Gum Drop" was brayered on to the card.

2)  Lakeside Cove Lg 049G was stamped with a blotted Marvy #29 "Prussian Blue". I blotted it off because I wanted a lighter version of this dark blue. Sometimes just going with a lighter blue isn't the same, although you could certainly use them. For example, I could have used a Marvy #10 "Light Blue" but while that blue is lighter, it's also brighter (more intense) than this darker blue. I wanted the impression to match the mood of the scene --slightly more subdued. That being said, I also wiped off some of the ink off the bottom of the Lakeside Cove to represent fog or haze around the waters edge.

Here I'm wiping the stamp with a dry paper towel. You don't want to use a wet towel as that would completely remove all ink.

As you can see, I've wiped off quite a bit of ink.

3)  Lakeside Cove Lg was stamped to both sides of the first impression to fill in the sides. Cloud Cumulus 018E was stamped several times in Marvy #60 Salvia Blue in the sky.

4)  Salvia Blue was added to the scene with the Colorbox Stylus Tool. I thought the cove looked like it was floating in the scene so I added tone to the rocks and added some blue to the upper part of the sky/card to cap/frame off the scene.

Adding in tone at the base of the rocks. Sometimes I tilt the stylus tool on it's side for a thinner applicator. For example, here I'm tilting the stylus tool on the lower edge to just tone in the base of the rocks. I wanted the top of the rocks to remain light as if the light was shinning from above.

Here I'm using a flatter application of the ink utilizing the entire surface of the Stylus tool foam tip/pad. I'm using the leaf shaped pad here but the oval one is the same as far as how I'm using it here.

5)  I thought the scene could use a little extra with some added hue variety and maybe a little extra "punch" with some slightly brighter color. I've added Marvy #67 "Bubble Gum Pink" into the scene with the Stylus Tool. I've put a couple streaks of it in the water and put quite a bit onto the upper areas of the card in the corners.

6)  Reeds Lg 068D was stamped in black at the bottom of the scene several times. Migrating Birds 152D was stamped in a blotted dark blue several times and Ducks in Formation 027A was stamped four times in black for added bird depth.

For added effect you can add some dew to the foreground reeds with a gel pen or mist to the water with a little pigment ink.
