"Lakeside Cabin" by Toni Keel, MT 2002
A simple elegant scene by Toni that utilizes the brayer nicely as well as the sides of the Lakeside Cabin 147F stamp's sides to create additional island trees.
Artist's Notes: T.K.- I'm new to your website, and didn't realize it until I started looking at some of the samples, then I jumped over to the Northwestern stamps...and I found one that I actually own (in subject area)! I know I bought it either at a store in Hamilton, MT which isn't there any longer or a stamp store up in Kalispell, MT. It's tough finding these types of stamps (I love scenes!) in my neck of the woods (I live halfway between Missoula and Hamilton, MT.
I hope you don't mind, but I'm attaching a scan of a card I made with
this stamp (I no longer have the card, mailed it to a friend of mine
a while back). I had fun creating a scene with it. The birds I drew
on the card myself. Hope you enjoy it...it was my first attempt
using this stamp. I brayered the background on glossy paper using
the Big & Juicy Ink Pads. Don't worry, this will be the only time
I'll be attaching a file to you. I am eager for you to see it, and
to let you know "I finally found you"!!
