Ahhh. To awake to the sound of an island eruption. Not exactly my idea of the best way to start the week. Oh well. What the heck. I guess you can say it's started with a bang. The chief said it would happen but forewarnings always fell on deaf ears --including my own. Who has time to think of nature's wrath when there's fish to be caught and waves to be surfed? Besides, what kind of precautions can you take for a 20ft wall of lava flattening everything in it's path on an island fourteen miles in diameter? Well, no use crying over spilled milk. The question is, "What should I do now?". I could go surfing. Nah. Too much smoldering ash in the air. Watch the sunrise for the last time? Nah. Not enough time. Hmmm. I know --I'll try to capture, on paper, what's going on outside with my new tropical stamps from Stampscapes.
