"The Oak & the Moon" by Norice Wakumoto, Hawaii 1998

Media: Metallic stamp pad, Japanese silk paper, linen paper, embossing powder, Top Boss clear ink, brush marker, and white colorbox.

Method: 1) I stamped the background with the Oak Branch in the Encore metallic purple stamp pad. 2) Rollataq the Japanese silk paper onto the cardstock. 3) On the black linen paper, I embossed --in "crystal"-- the moon & cloud using a clear ink and embossed the Oak Branch in "metallic gold". 4) I used a purple brush marker and randomly colored the sky (avoiding the gold embossed area). Since the dyed-based ink does not dry on the embossed area, wipe it with a paper towel. 5) Using a white Colorbox Cat Eye, I then smeared the white into the moon and around the cloud. You'll notice when putting white onto the purple ink, it draws out the color. To give it a soft look, just wipe off the excess white ink with a paper towel.

"The Oak & the Moon II" by Norice Wakumoto, Hawaii 1998

Artist's notes: The Seaside Cove 139H was stamped in Crystal embossing powder, the Oak Branch 203G in Metallic Gold embossing powder, and the Cloud w/Moon Lg -106G in Blue Pearl embossing powder. I did the same technique as the other card by using the purple brush marker in the sky and the blue in the ocean. Smeared the white color box cat eyes into those areas. Rubbed the Top Boss clear pad into the ocean and used clear embossing powder over it.
