Seasons

Trees of green, orange and yellow
water of deep blue,
as the coolness in the air,
as fall approaches.
But my light still shines,
to show the way,
for all ships to see.
As I am a lighthouse

Changes of Seasons

On a fall like day, I found myself on an Island on Lake Michigan and looking to the mainland. I saw a view of a lighthouse with colorful trees and grass of many shades. I knew I would have to sit and sketch this scene as when tomorrow rolls in, it will all be white. -JN

Overlooking the ocean,
trees and water calm
and the sky of many colors,
as my light can be seen for miles & miles.
As I am a Lighthouse. JN

The Sky was done by using a blue soft pastel and leaving small opening and sealing and then applying orange soft pastel in open spaces and sealing for a great effect. JN

One Day many years ago, we were looking for a place to relax & get away from the noise of the city. We found a lighthouse on a hill over looking the ocean and the heavens above. The area had a back drop of beautiful trees and green grass and It was as close to paradise. JN (Fiction)
