Bodie Island Light By Joe Nathan NV 2001

Cape Hatteras National Seashore, NC. Built 1837, rebuilt tower in 1859. 80 feet tall. In 1861 Confederate troops filled tower with explosions and blew it apart. Rebuilt 1872, then geese crashed into the lantern and damaged the lens. Fixed & Bodie Island Light has stood ever since.
