I particularly enjoyed being able to work "dark to light" with the stampbord. (you can see that in the leaves and the dogwood petals) I made them as "dark" as I wanted, then scratch out the lighter areas and reapplied ink on top. As long as you stay in the same color family, you don't tend to run into problems with the colors becoming muddy. In order to make the flowers pop in the scene, when I had finished painting them (I painted with dye inks and a waterbrush), I brushed satin varnish over the flower petals and sprinkled some ultra fine glitter on top of the wet varnish. Its hard to see in the scan, but the flowers really pop nicely. The addition of rhinestones in the center of each flower brings the viewers eyes exactly where you want them! -TS
