Stampscapes® Triptych: Page III

GET LOST in the world of saturated/transparent hues that layer and glaze jeweled lands. Create the illusion of deep space where intense color glows emanate from within your scenes. Stamp a sky where diffused emerald light can ooze through soft crystaline clouds and set the scene for a migration of weary travelers. Electrify those same clouds with the lustrously raspberry reds that crackle and hum in the path of the energy. Paddle into the deep bashful blue waters of a mirrored twilight lake. Layering your scenes with numerous glazes of transparent dyes and or watercolors will build up a rich surface deep with saturated hue. When working with a white piece of paper, the illusion of light is defined by the level of contrast within the scene. The "light" is defined by the use of shade/dark. Thus, the brighter you want the light areas --the darker you'll have to take the shaded portions. In these scenes, a wide range of value is achieved by the use of a full range of hue within each color scheme. Also, -images- can add to the value range such as the hanging limbs in scenes one and three or the Leafless Limb 053F trees in scene two. I like glossy stock in this glazing technique. Seems to "hold" color on the surface rather than getting soaked up by the fibers. STAMPSCAPES®.
