Leather scene commissioned by Sandy Whalen 2007

Note: Here's an amazing piece commissioned by Sandy for a beautiful gift for her husband. Sandy explains it better than I could here:

I just had to share the attached picture with you. We had seen this artist at aÊ fair back in September and I was totally taken with him and his art. I wanted to buy something from him but didn't end up doing that. I kept thinking about him and could not get it off my mind. I finally tracked him down thru the village list of vendors for the fair and contacted him. Rather than buy one of his pieces, I asked him to do one of one of the pictures I had done for the Idea card contest. It is a scene I did to honor my husband and grandson's relationship. Pa and Me just reminded me so much of them wandering off to our tiny barn out back to work in there or get food to feed the birds. I am so excited about it, I hope I can hold off giving it to my husband until Christmas now. I gave it to my daughter to hold, so I would not be as tempted.

Ê Steve did an awesome job on this and I thought I would share it with you. I have already posted it on the Yahoo group also. When you have time, here is his web site with some other samples of work he has done. I think I am going to have him do another one for me as another gift for Christmas. http://www.leatherscenes.com/ Ê

The details and depth of the trees and barn are fantastic.Ê ÊHope you enjoy seeing it your wonderful stamps displayed in a whole new way.Ê-Sandy W.
