LINDA STANDART

I am a fairly eclectic artist and do a lot of art and craft things. My formal art education was obtained at Syracuse University, but I always felt that observation and experience were the real key to making art you can live with and love. My first rubber stamp was a spinning wheel image I was given in 1987. I used it on envelopes for correspondence with fellow spinners. It was in late 1991 that a friend gave me the first stamp I used for real stamp art. So, I have been involved in stamping for many years and work in several styles, but "Stampscaping" is a particular favorite. I was introduced to Stampscapes at Calligraphy House (now Stamps and More by Eleanor) in a class demonstrating how to use them. That was all it took. I have several years experience with landscape painting and photography, which helps me design my work. I now teach Stampscapes, as well as book arts and other stamping and paper arts for Stamps and More by Eleanor, in Piedmont SC, located just off Interstate 85, near Greenville, SC http://www.stampsandmorebyeleanor.com.

Testimonials

I am enjoying your website and learning to use these fabulous stamps. I take classes with Linda Standart, in Piedmont, SC. I am NOT an experienced stamper (YET!), but I'm having lots of fun learning so many creative techniques from Linda, who is a very good teacher, by the way. She is very patient and makes one feel that ANYbody can create a project to be proud of, even as a beginner. Linda is so enthusiastic about Stampscapes, and all of us who visit the store are pleased that more of the Stampscape classes are now being offered.
