Sunset at Lakeside Cove by Verna Angerhofer, SD 2006

Artist Note: I brayered the background with Big N'Juicy Soothing Sunset pad on glossy card stock. Then I stamped the Cove image in with Black Permanent Ink. Next I used my Colorbox stylus tool and oval sponge end toÊapply Memories brown ink around the outer part of the scene.ÊNext I filled in with Black Memories ink gradually working darker to the edge of the scene. I added purple to the sky and the lower part of the lake to give more color to the sky and water portions. Also a small dab of black to the lower rocks but wanted to keep the upper rocks more in the light. I did a faux layer look by using a black permanent marker to edge the scene. I love sunsets, so I probably will do a lot of these. Using a brayer to do these scenes makes them go so much faster.
