Here are the instructions for the card "Moonlit Elopement".
I used the paper towel technique that Kevin has taught where you tear a paper towel and lay it on the card and then add color along the edge. I used the German Airebrush stipple brush to add the color adding more color closest to the paper towel and letting the color get lighter the as it gains distance from the edge of the towel. I started with a lighter color first. It was the Sea shell Cool Peri ink. I repeated the process creating the pathway by angling the paper towel in opposite directions.
Next, I added layers of blues, and lilacs with the stippling brush working down to a rich purple. Then I stamped the palm branch in the Sea Shell Cool Peri along the path that was created. It is so light, it just gives the hint of texture.
I stamped the moon in a Whispers purple. The purple was a little too bright and so I layered some of the lilac around the clouds. I also used the star stamp in the upper left corner, but it has so much color that it isn't visible.
Then I added the couple stamp and the palm branch stamps. They are stamped in black. I used a Saylor white pen to add the dots and the detailing of the palm branches. I also applied white pigment ink in a gentle swirling manner with a q-tip on the edges of the path, at the feet of the couple and under the moon.
I used a Navy Stamp pad to darken the edges and corners. -Kathi Bobb, 2006
