"Trees" by Kendall Fegley, IN 2004

Artist's note on technique: I was preparing samples for a watercolor class I taught recently. I was just playing around and had my Marvy ink pads out so picked up a dry paintbrush and picked up color directly from the pad and applied it to the dry paper. Not stippled as the brush was a softer one. Naturally It didn't cover heavily and was uneven, but I did that on everything and then I was going to use a damp brush to blend it all together but picked up my spritzer and misted it with water. I added a bit more color as needed with a damp brush & ink pad, but most everything on the attached was done just brushing on & misting. -KF
