Lone Traveler by Kevin Nakagawa, CA 2002
8" x 5.5" glossy card stock. Scenes executed with dye based inks applied with Tonal Applicator 084E and Colorbox Stylus Tools.
"Lone Traveler" starts with two layers of Frosted Aspens 218G. Stacked directly on top of first impression, the second one provides added depth for this tall composition. Multiple layers of several values of transparent dye based blues were used to build up the color. White pigment ink was added to create a layer of fog at the base of each tree line and between the two layers of foreground trees. Gel pens were used for added highlights and for hand placed stars.
