Pensacola Lighthouse Pensacola, Florida by Joe Nathan NV 2001

Built in 1824, This is the oldest light on the Gulf Coast. 171 feet tall. During Civil War, Confederate troops bombarded Pensacola. The tower survived with minor damages. Today, it is maintained by US Coast Guard.

First tower built in 1737 by Spanish, as a watch tower. Used by the British in 1763 to 1784. New tower was built in 1876. Open to the Public.

Built 1873 It is a massive Victorian brick structure out of a gothic mystery and the highest above sea level of any New England Lighthouses.
