#145F "CURVILINEAR ROAD" |
'Always wanted a couple designs like these roads/paths. Compositionally, they're elements that really take the viewer's eye into the scene. Iris Kolho-Ihring uses this design in two segments in A Winding Country Road. In Going Home it's used as the cabin walkway and in The Ride it's used as the foundation for a couple mtn. bikers. |
#146F "CROOKED PATH" |
The path and road (145F) are foundations designed to be built around. In A Sunday Stroll it's used as a path that leads a pair of hikers through a grove of oaks. In Green Path and Something, through the ancient timber. As with the road, Heather DeVree has used the path as a lead-in to a cabin. |
#148F "WATERSIDE BLUFF: LEFT" |
The Bluffs --left and right-- are, like the paths, foundations for side objects. For dual usage see a great card done for the exchange by McLauchlan (Don't know the first name) or in Sandi Marr's scene she uses the bluffs as a lead in into the "Watermill lg." Cathy Campbell has used the bluffs to frame off a stream. Used in a minimal but very effective way, Carol Ann Walsh sets the foundation and visual lead in for a watermill by using just about half of the right bluff. In Linda Ellenwood's Envelope the right bluff is used more than once to extend to form a body of water and make room for several land elements. |
