Artists Notes: No breeze is blowing. The heat of the sun slowly slips behind the plateau. A small grove of trees provides the much needed relief of shade to an old mans shack. I was overwhelmed with the intensity of the orange. It seems so empty for sky, but at the same time, I felt like clouds would diminish the intense orange heat.
